Location: Brixworth, Northampton
Desktop Support Analyst will have a strong technical background offering a desktop support role to a multi-national business. The role requires both a high level of technical competence as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
Occasional international travel may be required. Flexible hours where necessary to cover demands of the business.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to and resolving Info Desk tasks raised by users with desktop support issues
Logging and maintaining records of user issues.
Resolving user desktop support issues effectively.
Covering and liaising with other Group support.
Actively get involved in proactive project work, including desktop PC deployments, and operating system upgrades.

SKILLS REQUIRED
Have hands on experience working with Dynamics AX/Navision/Axapta
A relevant qualification in Information Technology or equivalent would be a definite advantage
A good understanding and a working knowledge of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 in terms of installing, configuring and supporting in a multi-user environment.
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office in order to answer user queries and offer support and training to users where necessary.
Ability to maintain hardware, for example, replacing faulty PC components such as hard drives or power supplies, or related equipment.
A basic understanding of networking and network protocols, such as TCP/IP, in order to understand and configure systems in a Windows networked environment.
Experience of working with a Windows Server environment, for example knowledge or understanding of active directory, terminal services, file and print services, etc.
Good attention to detail and ability to document processes and keep accurate records, for example auditing of hardware and software licenses
