Our client a Firm of Accountants are looking for an experience Payroll Manager to manage the payroll from start to finish, processing their clients payroll.



Key Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end to end processing of payroll for clients with various frequencies

  • Hands on processing of complex payroll and managing escalated payroll queries

  • Implementation of new payrolls and running the first payroll for each new client

  • Identifying and developing best practices to improve process efficiency

  • Business development where necessary to win new clients

  • Managing multiple tasks throughout the day while maintaining a high level of accuracy in their work and production.


Requirements of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or in payroll bureau

  • Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation and furlough claims process

  • Proven track-record

  • Experience recognising and improving efficiencies within a payroll function

  • Ability to resolve complex payroll queries and maintain client satisfaction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

  • Experience of SAGE payroll is preferred but not essential

  • Take initiative and demonstrate strong decision-making skills
