Our client who operates as Accountants within the Hospitality Sector, are looking to recruit a Payroll Processing Manager. They are a highly reputable accounts and payroll service provider to the restaurant industry and have operated for over 15 years and currently providing services to over 40 restaurants sites.

 

You must live local to North Harrow HA1.

 

Payroll duties day to day will usually include:

  • Checking Inland Revenue secure inbox fortnightly for any notices received

  • Accurately logging new starters onto the payroll software

  • Making sure fortnight payroll files are received on time from business units

  • Timely processing of all payrolls

  • Uploading pension data on client`s pension providers account & retrieving data and updating payroll for any pension leavers or opt outs.

  • Reconciling Nominal ledger accounts such as Net Pay, Staff Loans, Tronc Reserves and Pension Control accounts

  • Recreating new excel payroll files for following payroll periods and emailing it to the business units

  • Posting payroll journals in SAGE using excel import

  • Updating PAYE tracker to match P32 to the balance sheet for each client

  • Creating PAYE payment file monthly to be paid by due date

  • Processing any adhoc payroll paperwork e.g. Attachment of earnings, P6`s, fines, sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay & loans

  • Issuing P45s and other tax forms

  • Payroll year end to produce employee P60 & P11d

 

The role requires supervision of staff and working with a wider office of the team in the accounts department.

 

 

Skills required:

You`ll need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years payroll experience is essential

  • Knowledge of previous accounting software, Sage line 50 would be an advantage

  • Confidence with numbers

  • Good spoken and written communication skills

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work on deadlines

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
