Our client is currently recruiting for a high-energy, driven Business Development Manager with relevant experience in business services sales, with a value-driven sales approach.

 

You should possess strong B2B sales and account management experience and a solid track record selling into various markets. They offers a fast-paced, innovative environment where

you will be provided the tools, resources, and outstanding leadership to sell business services solutions. Our loyal client base is ideal for up-selling and cross-selling our growing suite of payroll and HR-related business services. Having experience selling managed payroll services will be highly advantageous.

 

Flexibility is highly valued wherever possible, and as such, this role can be based in London (Battersea) or there is the option for remote working. This means that applications are invited from anywhere within England. There will be a requirement to travel to visit clients on a regular basis, at some point in the future

 

 

Job Purpose: To achieve personal and business sales targets

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Manage, nurture, and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities

  2. Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity, to generate outbound lead opportunities

  3. Assess and analyse a prospects current process and requirements

  4. Provide engaging and articulate information about the companys value proposition to

  5. potential clients via a variety of digital and in-person methods

  6. Maintain well-organised, up-to-date, and accurate sales information and activity reports in Zoho CRM system

  7. Efficient management of the sales pipeline using the companys Checks processes

  8. Confidently participate in the preparation of proposals, and the presentation of service offering, via webinars or face-to-face meetings

  9. Represent them at corporate events or sales meetings independently or with colleagues

  10. Meet personal targets and work towards sales goals and profitability

  11. Support Senior Business Development Manager and Head of Sales & Marketing with appointment setting through email, telesales, and socials

 

Competencies

  • Highly developed communication skills

  • Customer service oriented with a positive, well-motivated attitude

  • Conscientious, hard-working, and driven to improve sales activity performance

  • Good organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to reprioritise as necessary

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2 - 4 years proven experience in prospecting and lead generation and 1-2 years experience in business services, preferably payroll services but linked industries will be considered

  • Solid sales forecasting abilities and revenue achievement and ability to successfully manage your own quota

  • Experience of working collaboratively in a combined sales & marketing team

  • Successful history of net new business sales and managing complex larger deals

  • A background in inbound and outbound prospecting and closing of new business

  • Consistent over achievement of quota and revenue goals
